Our Story

OUR founder and creative director

From designing DIY t-shirts for punk bands in high school to oil painting and chainsaw carving in college to illustration work post grad, Amie’s dabbled in all kinds of making. It wasn’t until she completed her graduate degree in painting and sculpture from Parsons School of Design that she discovered screen printing. She was hooked and with a not so secret love of fashion and print design, Thief&Bandit was formed.

Our prints

Our original print designs start from the ink sketches of creative director, Amie Cunningham. Themes of moody florals, lurking critters and dark landscapes travel throughout her drawings and make their way onto the print table to create iconic one of kind fabrics.

Our Values

We have always been the outsiders doing things our way, our small design team creates every Thief&Bandit collection from sketch to seam. Our values have stayed the same since day one - all of our fabric is printed by hand, garments are sewn in house and made to order. A commitment to sustainability means we work with only organic textiles and inks are non-toxic, making them safe for waterways and our oceans. Every Thief&Bandit collection begins with the same intent- for our garments to empower the wearer, the same way we feel when we create them.
